California Gov. Gavin Newsom tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday after experiencing mild symptoms, according to his office. KCRA 3’s Ashley Zavala said that the governor’s office confirmed that Newsom will be in isolation for the next five days and still plans to carry on with his statewide tour from March 16-19 to make policy announcements. It is unclear whether or not the two will meet face-to-face while Biden is in California. This is Newsom’s second time testing positive for COVID-19 after contracting the virus in May 2022 shortly after receiving his booster shot.Recently, Newsom was in Baja, California, on a personal trip according to his office.
