Today, Georgia voters are headed to the polls to resolve the last outstanding Senate race in the country. Sen. Raphael G. Warnock (D-Ga.) faces Republican Herschel Walker in a hard-fought runoff in which more than 1.8 million people have already voted early. While Democrats will control the Senate next year regardless of Tuesday’s outcome, a win by Warnock would give the party more leverage in the chamber, which has been evenly divided for the past two years.
While voting takes place in Georgia, President Biden is headed to Arizona, a state that could play a key role in the 2024 presidential election. Biden plans to tout growth in domestic manufacturing under his watch during a visit to a semiconductor plant under construction in Phoenix.

The latest: Trump plugs Walker between social media posts about ongoing investigations
As voters headed to the polls in Georgia on Tuesday, Donald Trump put in a plug for Republican Herschel Walker on Truth Social, Trump’s media platform, writing that the candidate he endorsed “will never let you down.”
Trump’s post linked to a previous one on Monday night in which he wrote: “Herschel was a fantastic Athlete, and he will be an even greater United States Senator!”
Tuesday’s post about Walker, a former football star, came amid other posts in which Trump lashed out against officials involved in some of the investigations he faces: the Justice Department’s probe of his alleged storage of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate; and the probe by state prosecutors in Manhattan regarding how the Trump Organization, Trump’s company, handled fringe benefits.
