COVID-19 cases force Milwaukee Repertory Theater to cancel final performances of ‘Titanic the Musical’ Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
Milwaukee Repertory Theater has canceled the remaining performances of “Titanic the Musical” due to “breakthrough cases of COVID-19 amongst the cast,” the Rep announced in a statement.
Performances had been scheduled through May 14. They halted after the May 1 show. That means COVID-19 is costing the Rep 15 performances out of a scheduled 49 shows.
“Titanic” had a cast of 30 actors, including children. While the Rep had designated understudies and swing performers to cover a certain amount of illness, “due to the number of cases and those involved, the production cannot continue,” the Rep said.

Also, the Rep cannot extend the run of “Titanic” because necessary artists aren’t available to continue.
“We know that this is deeply disappointing news not only for our audiences, but for the hundreds of Rep artists, staff and crew that have worked so hard on this production,” artistic director Mark Clements said in the statement.
