COVID-19 hospitalizations continue to increase in New Hampshire; follow national trend

COVID-19 hospitalizations are starting to increase in New Hampshire, following a national trend. On Wednesday, the New Hampshire Hospital Association reported that 120 patients in the hospital have tested positive for COVID-19. It’s the highest number in nearly two months. On Tuesday, there were 107 patients in New Hampshire hospitals who tested positive. Of those 120 patients, 34 are specifically receiving COVID-19 treatment, also the highest number since May. The number of people treated is up by one from Tuesday. New Hampshire health officials reported one new COVID-19 death, bringing the total number of deaths in the state since the start of the pandemic to 2,615. Health officials reported 228 new cases on Wednesday. There have been a total of 336,189 known cases since the start of the pandemic in New Hampshire.
